Objectives of this Role
We are in search of a Test Engineer with a strong background in hardware testing methods/processes as well as RF system measurements. This role is critical in overseeing the testing lifecycle of our diverse product range, which includes embedded systems, integrated systems with radios, and robotics. The ideal candidate will be adept at ensuring our test databases and test equipment are continuously being improved to help our products meet stringent quality standards and customer acceptance.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test databases for a variety of hardware products, including embedded systems and integrated solutions with radios and robotics.
- Lead defect tracking through unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing to assist in failure investigations and root cause analysis.
- Work closely with the development team to understand product designs and derive effective test & measurement procedures.
- Implement and manage automated testing frameworks to streamline the testing process.
- Execute hands-on testing, identify defects, document findings, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Lead setup and management of hardware lab to facilitate electronics prototyping and RF measurements.
- Analyze test data, prepare reports on findings, and ensure consistent documentation throughout the testing process.
- Stay current with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
Required qualifications
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in testing electronics systems.
- Proficient in developing and executing detailed test plans and test cases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience setting up and maintaining databases.
- Demonstrated knowledge of failure investigations based on industry standards.
- Familiarity with RF/radio protocols and testing tools.
- Experience with setting up and maintaining a lab for electronics test equipment.
- Knowledge of automated testing tools and scripting languages (LabView and Simulink, etc)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Environmental test fixtures and standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
